Schwartzel flies high in the lead up to the ISPS HANDA Perth International

Not long after arriving in Perth for the ISPS HANDA Perth International, South African golfer Charl Schwartzel took to the skies in to check out the course before teeing off on Thursday at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

Charl is a keen flyer and didn’t hesitate to take up the invitation.

“Just last year I got my helicopter licences which to me took flying to a different level, really it was so awesome,” he said.

“I was fortunate enough to fly around Perth today it was absolutely beautiful it has amazing coastline and once again to just see the helicopter.

“There’s not many things you can fly around in like a helicopter and see as much as you can, it was pretty awesome.”

Today is a practice day for the golfers, the Pro Am is on Wednesday and the tournament commences on Thursday.

The ISPS HANDA Perth International is owned and promoted by IMG and is the collective vision of Eventscorp, a division of Tourism Western Australia, and IMG to see a major international golf event played annually in Perth.
